Data policy
How we handle farm data from the Soil Passport and MITTI SCANNER. Detailed rules on ownership, sharing and retention will be finalised and published here before the pilot starts.

Consent first
No farmer, plot or location data is recorded without the farmer’s consent, and the time of consent is recorded.
Kinds of data
Personal details (name, phone), location (plot position and boundary), soil measurements (raw and processed), device data (device, firmware and calibration revision) and the advice record.
How we handle it
Raw readings are never silently changed or discarded; measurements, estimates and advice are kept separate so every recommendation can be traced to its data.
Access is limited to people whose role requires it.
The Soil Passport is a plot record kept by The Mitti Tech, not a government certificate.
Your requests
Farmers can write to us to see, correct or delete their personal details.
